HydroOptix Mask Warranty & Return Policy

All product returns and repairs must include the proper RMA form. Please complete the proper form and include it when you ship the mask.

All returns must contain an RMA number. Please contact HydroOptix to get this information.

30-DAY REFUND POLICY FOR CONSUMERS (for masks purchased direct from HydroOptix):
If you are not completely satisfied with your HydroOptix mask within 30 days of purchase, return the mask, undamaged, with all original material (i.e. case, documentation, no-fog fluid container) for a full refund. Costs for shipping, eye exams and contact lenses are not refundable.

The mask's lens surface(s) have a hard coat for protection against abrasions and scratches, however such damage to lens surface(s) is not covered under warranty. Be sure in your handling of your MEGA mask to follow the directions that were included with your mask; scratched or otherwise damaged masks cannot be accepted for full refund. Custom-made eyeglass lenses, for Surface Interval Eyewear, are not refundable.

To obtain a refund, do not send your MEGA mask or MEGA accessories to HydroOptix LLC without first downloading the product return PDF and obtaining an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization). If you believe you have a defective product, all warranty claims must be made through the manufacturer, HydroOptix LLC, not the place of purchase. Do not send your MEGA mask or MEGA accessories to HydroOptix LLC without first obtaining an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization). To obtain an RMA number, either E-Mail, fax or phone:

All return items must be shipped freight prepaid. Please use a package delivery service that is able to track and insure your return items -- we recommend UPS ground service. Any HydroOptix LLC item confirmed as defective (as described) will be replaced, free of charge, with an identical item or, if the item is no longer available, with a similar product or one of equivalent value. The following must be included in your package when submitting a claim:

  1. The damaged product.
  2. A written description of the problem or service you are requesting.
  3. A copy of the purchase receipt or other proof of purchase.
  4. Your full name, return address and telephone number with area code and E-mail if available.

Contact Lenses Are a Rx Device / See Your Eye Care Professional
Nothing is more precious than your sight, and you should never put it at risk. A contact lens is a prescription device and it must only be fit and prescribed by an Eye Care Professional. Although all eyes look pretty much the same, in reality everybody's eyes are slightly different. That's why it's important to have your Eye Care Professional fit your contact lenses for your particular eye's shape and size. Borrowing contact lenses, or obtaining them without a prescription, could lead to serious vision problems due to incorrect fit. Even if you've been wearing contact lenses for years, it's a good idea to have your Eye Care Professional check your prescription to make sure that your lenses offer the best possible fit for your unique eyes. People who buy contact lenses over the internet or through toll-free telephone numbers may be jeopardizing long-term eye health if they don't regularly see their Eye Care Professional.

In order to take good care of your eyes, we recommend yearly visits to detect vision changes, as well as any other unseen problems. You'll find DEC-Pros (Diving Eye Care) are exceptional Ophthalmologists, Optometrists and Opticians, and they understand your special needs as a Scuba diver. Don't share contact lenses; don't wear contacts without consulting with an Eye Care Professional.

WARRANTY PERIODS:
Care is taken to ensure that each HydroOptix mask is of the best quality possible. HydroOptix LLC provides a One-Year Warranty, from the date of purchase, against defects in materials or workmanship on the MEGA mask, according to the "terms" listed below. Although the mask's lenses have a hard coat for protection against abrasions, scratches in the lens surface(s) are not covered under the warranty.

HydroOptix LLC further provides a 90-day Warranty, from the date of purchase, against defects in materials or workmanship on the accessory CoverLens components, according to the "terms" listed below. Although the CoverLens optical surfaces have a hard coat for protection against abrasions, scratches in the lens surface(s) are not covered under the warranty.

HydroOptix LLC further provides a 90-day Warranty, from the date of purchase, against defects in materials or workmanship, according to the "terms" listed below, on the accessory Surface-Interval Eyewear and Monocle. Although the Surface-Interval Eyewear and Monocle optical surfaces have a hard coat for protection against abrasions, scratches to the lens surface(s) are not covered under the warranty. This warranty does not include protection against possible corrosion to metal parts of Surface-Interval Eyewear and clip-on sunglasses; these items must be rinsed in clean fresh water and air-dried immediately after exposure to spray from water, or immersion in water.

WARRANTY TERMS:
Under normal use, any defect will be repaired at no cost to you for parts and labor, during the time periods specified above. The above warranties do not cover minor imperfections; surface markings as a result of shipping, and slight color variations are normal. Product failure due to alterations or tampering, damage from misuse, or lack of reasonable care are not covered by warranty. Instructions for proper use and care are included with each mask; damages to the product(s) caused by actions contradictory to the provided instructions (i.e. cleaning with unapproved cleaning solvents) voids the warranties, as does diving in severely polluted waters. Damage or loss caused by extended exposure to sun or high temperatures, neglect, accident, alteration, fire or theft is also not covered by the above warranties. HydroOptix is not responsible for damages or injuries due to the incorrect use of the product.

IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT INTERNET AND MAIL ORDER SALES
If you purchase HydroOptix Masks via the Internet, mail, or telephone, you may be purchasing from a non-authorized dealer, and your products will not be covered by HydroOptix warranties. When you buy HydroOptix Masks from your authorized dealer, you are buying from a professional who can ensure the proper function of your new mask, to maximize your enjoyment. TERMS FOR RETAILERS & SCUBA PROFESSIONALS:
All Key Man and wholesale priced sales are final. No refunds are allowed. Credits can be issued for other HydroOptix products if the product is returned unopened, though a 20% restocking fee will apply. No masks can be resold on the internet without permission of HydroOptix LLC.
